Webpage: The Brooks Chamber has done a lot of soul-searching this year and we have adopted a back-to-basics agenda. Part of that meant refreshing our webpage. Check out our new page at www.brookshamber.ab.ca.

Check Your Phone Bill: We should all check our cell phone bills this month. @Telus and @Rogers have advised the CRTC that they could not implement the pro-consumer changes demanded by the TelCo regulator. If there are charges on your bill that go against the CRTC ruling, you can ask for an adjustment in your favor. More here: http://crtc.gc.ca/eng/home-accueil.htm

Canadian Mortgage and Housing Commission: The CMHC will release a report this week indicating that new housing starts are down 47%. They describe this as “the new normal.”
