Feelgood Friday

With the shootings in Vegas, Edmonton and the death of Tom Petty, we wanted to share some heartwarming news.

We got a call at the Chamber late yesterday afternoon from a very concerned grandmother. Her relatives had been traveling on the TransCanada highway when it was closed due to weather. She explained that they - and their cat - needed a hotel room for the night. Because of the cat, they were having trouble finding shelter.

Though they usually do not permit cats, Eric at the Heritage Inn Hotels Brooks made an exception and all were able to weather the storm safe and sound.

Thanks for stepping up Eric! Acts of kindness like this are what makes Brooks and the County of Newell the best place to live, work, invest and raise a family!
